What is Web3?

No!

This is not about to be one of those stuck up intros okay?

OKAY!

Now, let’s dive right into the order of the day; Demystifying The Web3 World.

Everyone knows that if there’s the third web (Web3), there should be other webs like the first and second webs before it (i.e; web1 and web2).

Are there any more after the third web though?

Not yet.

However, identifying the need for an update in terms of technology never takes too long, so advance expectancy on the present most advanced web, web3, should be high.

Why the Web3 advancement in the first place?

Decentralization a.k.a Owning and controlling your digital footprint.

To advance from web2, a problem(visibility) called, and a solution(anonymity) got incorporated into the already existent web.

That is in summary; the conception and birth of the Web3 world.

How does this new world work? You’d ask.

So think first — how much fun even is basing a full-on identity to a simple financial transaction?

Let’s leave the identities behind, let’s focus strictly on the demand, supply, numbers and products.

Reflex thoughts might make you think through the lines of fraudulence, but since it’s normal for the mind to fight new information with existing fears, it’s paramount for you to know that in cases of fraudulent activities across two accounts in the blockchain, every transaction is being marked, and authorized bodies are tipped off on whatsoever is happening.

The said fraudulent accounts are then banned or frozen.

What Do I Profit Off Of Understanding The Web3 World?

Learning just for the experience is a long expired concept within this present worldwide economic crisis.

Whatever you do, hopefully, should get you some coins or even enough coins to ditch 9–5 jobs.

So whether the question is how could I make money off Web3?

Or

How many ways could I make money through Web3?

There’s a range of options to pick and choose from, like;

Trading, Investing and Gigs/Jobs(mod, writing, shilling, alpha calling, raiding e.t.c).

  • Trading: To participate in the web3 economy, you need to have some cryptocurrency for trading. The most popular cryptocurrency for web3 is Ethereum, but there are many others as well, including Bitcoin, Solana, and Cardano. So trading is basically the buying and selling of goods and services in decentralized apps using cryptocurrencies to pay fees and then earn rewards through staking or liquidity mining.
  • Investing: In the web3 world, “investing” means buying cryptocurrency or NFTs (non-fungible tokens) with the hopes that their value will increase over time. This is similar to traditional investing, with a key difference. The difference is that web3 investments are often more volatile than traditional investments, meaning that the price can fluctuate quickly and dramatically. However, this volatility can also lead to high potential returns for those who are willing to take on the risk.
  • Gigs: some of the most common gigs/jobs in the web3 world include; Blockchain/front-end/back-end/smart contract developers, community/product manager, graphics designer, content writer and more.

Why Make A Personality Out Of Web3?

What’s with the web3 behind peoples’ social media handles or ETH on their display pictures?

It kind of feels like doing too much.

Building Relationships

Social media is a relationship tool that is important enough to be utilized and broad enough to connect people to people regardless of distance, ethnicity, social standing & religion.

With the brain behind the stuff called algorithms, the bolder you claim, converse and relate about a particular topic, the more of it you’d see and the more of you others of like minds would see.

Branding

It is a means to creating a brand that presents a safe space for others to come and gain knowledge about everything Web3.

This brand created then bears the huge responsibility in times of huge influx of newbies, teaching and helping them to not make mistakes while dealing defi protocols.

Thesaurus

  1. Defi Protocols: Decentralized-Finances Protocols are softwares that utilize blockchain to carry out financial activities (i.e bank related activities such as investing, lending, borrowing, and saving) in a decentralized manner.
  2. Blockchain: The term “blockchain” is often used to refer to the technology behind cryptocurrencies, like Bitcoin, but it can also be used in other applications. In general, a blockchain is a secure way to store and share data, because it’s decentralized and distributed, meaning that no single person or group controls it. The data on a blockchain is also immutable, meaning that it can’t be altered once it’s been added to the chain. This makes it a useful tool for tracking transactions and keeping records plus it’s important to note that the blockchain is a public ledger, which means anyone can view all of the transactions that have ever taken place.
  3. Tokens: Digital Assets owned and stored on the block chain. “Token” is a piece of data that represents a digital asset. It’s kind of like a virtual IOU. There are many different types of tokens, but they generally fall into two categories: fungible tokens and non-fungible tokens. Fungible tokens are interchangeable, meaning that one token is basically the same as another token of the same type. An example of a fungible token is a cryptocurrency like Bitcoin. Every Bitcoin is worth the same as every other Bitcoin.
  4. Cryptocurrency: Is a type of digital asset that is a key component of the web3 world. Cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum use blockchain technology to create a decentralized system for verifying transactions, in place of relying on a central authority like a bank. Making it possible to buy, sell, and exchange cryptocurrencies without going through a middleman.
  5. DApps: Decentralized Applications are built using self executing programs that run on the blockchain.
  6. NFT: Non fungible tokens are unique digital assets that have no duplicates, no exact replacements and cannot be directly exchanged with one another.
