“Exclusive high fashion, one of one, limited edition, custom made-to-order dresses” — these terms easily describe Haute Couture.
Haute Couture itself is French for “High Dressmaking.”
It is with expensive, high quality materials, precision and time that Haute Couture is made.
Balenciaga Haute Couture.
Humanoids in black neoprene, high tech reflective face shields and chiseled boots were shown up on Balenciaga’s runway. The Haute Couture was designed with precision to resemble an alien invasion, futuristic, artistic which in Denma’s words “…was my idea of interpreting gazar in 2022”.
Note: Denma Vasalia, popularly known as Denma is a Georgian fashion designer, presently the creative director for Balenciaga and co-founder of Vetements.
Ready-To-Wear (RTW).
The word itself is self explanatory, Ready to wear refers to outfits tailored for regular/everyday fashion.
These RTW collections are known to generate higher revenue for brands so most haute couture brands also run RTW.
